Fan Control Utility 2.04: Supports 4.60 CEX And 4.50 DEX - Aldo Vargas has updated his Fan Control Utility to support 4.60 custom firmwares. More information awaits inside!
Much like other cooling utilities, Aldo's Fan Control attempts to manage the running temperature of a modded PS3. WhenA used correctly, this app can help prevent system malfunctions such as the yellow light of death. Not much has changed as far as basic function is concerned, but this one does support 4.50 DEX and 4.60 CEX custom firmwares. Versions of Fan Control Utility with and without a GUI are included in this download. More details are available in the official changelog below.
ABOUT Fan Control Utility (ISO/No GUI):
This is an unofficial version of Fan Control Utility by Estwald that auto-quits immediately to XMB after set the fan policy. Hold (X) for 10 seconds to enable the GUI. The settings will be saved in the internal HDD, if the included PKG is installed and dev_hdd0/game/CTRLFAN00/fan_speed.dat exists.
